Gavin Page started DJing commercially in 1984, although he had been DJing at his local youth club since he was 14.
In 1989 he started promoting events with his now business partner Bob Cosby at the Bull in Royston and in 1992 they created their first Weekender in Great Yarmouth. Soul Essence which is still running today.
Gavin has been collecting records since he was 13, using his wages from a Saturday job to fund his young habit. In 2017 Gavin made the jump and opens his record shop The Bearcave in Westcliff On Sea Essex.
While Gavin cut his teeth on the Northern Soul scene he has an in-depth knowledge and passion for black music in all its forms and can please most crowds with his now renowned diverse sets at any event, world wide having Djd in 9 different countries.
Gavin in 1991 also took up the challenge and started radio presentation with his show The Musical Fishbowl working on various stations he has become part of the management team at Stomp Radio where he as been for just over the last 10 years . Catch his show Monday Evenings 8-10pm www.stompradio.com
